Ralph Hogges is a professor and executive director of the Institute for Public Policy and Executive Leadershiop in Higher Education at Nova Sotheastern University. A writer of diverse genres, he is the author of seven books. He is also the founder, host and moderatore of the Monthly Scholars' Roundtable and Forum.
Dr. Dunn holds advance degrees in higher education administration and an undergraduate degree in elementary education. Dr. Dunn's many years of work in education include teaching at the elementary grade levels as well as teaching at the college and graduate levels.
I have written several short stories and had some of them published in the Imagine literary magazine. I have also been published in the Algonquin Quarterly (“The Water Buffalo and Pink Flamingo”) and in an anthology For Your Eyes Only (“Casino Blues”). Walk in Bethel is my first novel. This novel won an international competition in General Fiction (June, 2015), in which I traveled to Paris to receive the award. I have published five additional novels, Reflections, Groovin’ on the Half Shell, A Winter Friend, Casino Blues, and Five Secrets 6 Stethoscopes.
Valda is a retired teacher from the island of Jamaica. A born again Christian, she has served in several church ministries in prayer and intercession and teaching. Through the Valley was written to encourage readers as they go through their various valley experiences. Due to her physical challenges, she was forced to retire from public service but is still active in her church.
