Rose Mary Stiffin, PhD

I have written several short stories and had some of them published in the Imagine literary magazine. I have also been published in the Algonquin Quarterly (“The Water Buffalo and Pink Flamingo”) and in an anthology For Your Eyes Only (“Casino Blues”). Walk in Bethel is my first novel. This novel won an international competition in
General Fiction (June, 2015), in which I traveled to Paris to receive the award. I have published five additional novels, Reflections, Groovin’ on the Half Shell, A Winter Friend, Casino Blues, and Five Secrets 6 Stethoscopes.

Valda is a retired teacher from the island of Jamaica. A born again
Christian, she has served in several church ministries in prayer and
intercession and teaching. Through the Valley was written to encourage
readers as they go through their various valley experiences. Due to her physical challenges, she was forced to retire from public service but is still active in her church.

Dr. Delores M. Smiley retired as Executive Director for Diversity and Cultural Affairs at the Abraham S. Fischler School of Education at Nova Southeastern University.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree from Western Michigan University and a Doctor of Education degree from Nova Southeastern University’s School of Education.
