Collection: Mrs. Harriet Blackshear-Cowins

Mrs. Harriet Blackshear-Cowins the author, is a former kindergarten teacher at Cox's Kindergarten that was located in historic Miami, Florida's over-town community. She is a member of The Sophisticated Red Hatters of Miami Gardens, Mt. Hermon AME Church of Miami Gardens, Florida, the Quettes of Sigma Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and the proud Grandmother of three children and the mother of three children. Married to Dr. B. B. Cowins, Sr., Mrs. Cowins's successful business career involvements included the ownership of three retail businesses, one of which was an award winning AMOCO Franchise Dealership that was located in the beautiful City of Miami Gardens, Florida. Mrs. Cowins cherishes the experience obtained while attending Miami Northwestern Senior High School ('58), Miami Dade College, Biscayne College and Florida International University. She and her husband have also co-authored other books (The Cowins History and Heritage and Blessed and Too Smart to Fail Too). Their books can be obtained on-line at Cobeth.com.
